Hopkins Ordinary Ale Works operates in the cellar of Hopkins Ordinary Bed and Breakfast on Main Street in Sperryville, right next to Shenandoah National Park. We are brewing for our B&B guests and for members of the community, focusing on local ingredients and seasonal beers. Our barley comes from the distillery just down the street, and some hops are grown by us. Other flavors, such as herbs and fruits, also reflect what our neighbors are growing.
We also operate as a Community Supported Brewing project (CSB): people buy shares in advance and come by regularly for growler fills, choosing among the 3 to 6 beers we have on tap. We are also open to non-members by appointment. So just contact us and we are happy to share what we have on tap, or spend the night and enjoy fresh beer on the porch or in front of the fireplace in your room.
